6 Simple Houseplants for Any Green Thumb

My Mom and mother-in-law are quite the green thumbs. They know all sorts of plant and flower names. When I have a question related to improving my green thumb, I turn to them for tips and tricks. I used to be horrible with plants. But, over the years, I’ve been working on mastering my green thumb.

A little over a year ago, we moved into a new home and I quickly discovered that the previous owner had quite the green thumb. She had flowerbeds and plants all over the property. Last spring and summer, I really wanted to see what would come up before I started making and grand plans for change. I did plant a bunch of annuals last year to allow myself a chance to see what type of perennials were throughout the property. Now that I’ve had a chance to get the lay of the land, I cannot wait to start digging and planting.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous yesterday. I was craving the chance to get my hands dirty in the great outdoors. But, due to work, I was stuck inside. Thinking about all of the work I could do outside this upcoming weekend got me so excited. I can’t wait to get started on our gardens this year.
