Tomorrow is the day that we start working on the lawn, gardens, and screened-in porch. The weather is finally warm and sunny which means that we need to start getting the exterior of our house ready for the summer days and nights. When it comes to summer, we’re all about our screened-in porch. I seriously would live in it full-time if I could. From eating meals to enjoying cocktails to playing games with our son, we are all about our backyard screened-in porch.
As my husband and I were making plans for tomorrow, we kept bringing the focus back to the backyard porch. Today, I wiped down the walls and couches to rid them of dirt and dust. The first chore that I’m going to do tomorrow is scrub down the composite deck which will then allow me to roll out the indoor-outdoor jute rug, place the cushions on the couches and chaise lounge, and set out the lanterns.
Since this is our first full summer at this house (we moved into our house last August), I can’t wait to add to our screened-in porch decor. I’ll be shopping for plants, tables to potentially serve as a buffet or bar, and other decorative items to make the porch feel cozy.
In an effort to get inspired, I’ve been perusing Pinterest and came across these picture perfect porches that are giving me just the inspiration I need:
