As you peruse your dessert recipes, you might come across the word “drizzle.” Worried? Confused? Stop. Right. There. There’s no need to fret or pass over the recipe. Drizzling is easy and, with some practice, your dessert trays will turn out beautifully.
The classic way to drizzle chocolate or frosting is by using a pastry bag. Don’t have a pastry bag? No problem. I’m sure you have a Ziploc bag that will work just fine…and it will be our little secret. I’ve tried spoons and forks in the past and the end result was nothing short of sloppy and unimpressive. Stick with the bag…it works every time!
Directions:
- Take chocolate (melted) or frosting and place in a Ziploc bag.
- Cut a tiny corner from the plastic bag and squeeze a narrow stream of chocolate or frosting through the cut corner.
Believe it or not, it’s that easy. And like I said before, practice makes perfect. Before you know it, you’ll be well on your way to creating cookie masterpieces.
Happy Drizzling!
