It was a huge year for How To: Simplify because it marked the year of its launch. I was nervous, anxious and excited the first time I clicked the “Publish” button. However, I can honestly say that was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
Looking back at the year, the following are the top How To: Simplify posts of 2009:
- What Does That Mean?! Cooking Terms Defined
- Table Setting 101: Basics and Guidelines
- Cafe-style Blueberry Muffins
- Pumpkin Cupcakes with Maple Cream Cheese Frosting

Ever since I started the blog, I’ve been presented with amazing opportunities from fellow foodies and friends and I could not be more thankful. I had such a great time creating and sharing tips, tricks and recipes that simplify life in the kitchen.
One exciting experience I had was writing a guest post for Nancy and Matt on Food Tastes Yummy. I had a wonderful time creating the dessert, as well as photographing the final result. It was such a thrill to see my work posted on their blog.
Looking ahead to ideas I would like to accomplish on How To: Simplify in 2010, one of my goals is to seek and accept guest posts from food enthusiasts. I had such a great time writing my first guest post and now I would like to offer people the same opportunity on my blog.
