One of my favorite home decor pieces is a mason jar. Yes, they are all the rage right now. Hop on Pinterest and you’re bound to come across so many creative ideas for these inexpensive yet beautiful glassware pieces.
From a toothbrush holder to a Q-tip holder, a water glass to a light fixture, the possibilities are endless and incredibly creative when it comes to mason jars. The way I tend to make use out of my mason jars is by turning them into a vase for flowers.
Almost every trip that I make to the market, I find myself in the flower department perusing the aisles for white flowers to fill our home. I think I picked up this habit from my Mom. She always treated herself to flowers during her grocery shopping trips. I loved how the house was always full of flowers and I’ve carried that tradition into our home.
When I bring the flowers home, I snip them, fill mason jars with water, place the flowers in the jars, and fill the surfaces of our home with freshness. There’s just something about the classic, vintage, and simple beauty of mason jars that pairs perfectly with freshly cut flowers.
Here’s my simple fix for you. The next time that you are given flowers or decide to treat yourself to flowers while shopping, use a mason jar as a vase. From small jars to wide mouth jars, there are enough varieties of jars to help you display and showcase your flowers beautifully.
How often do you keep fresh flowers in your home?

I love that you have a turquoise mason jar that you use as a vase. I bet that adds so much simple beauty to any space throughout your home. Oh, and I totally agree about the snow. I'm so over it! I cannot wait for springtime!
