Show of hands: Who loves the show Fixer Upper? From the amazing designs to the super cute stars of the show, what’s not to love? Before the show aired, I was all about getting the PotteryBarn look in our home.
I’ve always been drawn to decorating our home in neutral tones as I continued to paint the walls tan, buy black furniture, and purchase decor items that were all sorts of beige, white, and galvanized. Toss in some greenery and our last house and current house were/are relaxing places for our family.
And then the show Fixer Upper showed its pretty face. As my sister-in-law put it, Joanna Gaines and I are like decorating twins. I absolutely love her chic farmhouse style and continue to gain so much inspiration from her show, blog, and shop.
I’ve had so much fun decorating our home as I try to make it as comfortable and inviting as possible for our family and friends. I enjoy going to local stores and shops to try and find pieces that will help add to the Fixer Upper decor style that I have created in our home.
