With our second baby’s due date quickly approaching, I’ve already started to transition one of our bedrooms upstairs into the nursery as we continue to work on making our two-year-old’s room a big boy room. In the next month, we plan on moving the crib out of our son’s room and into the baby’s room.
We’re also placing an order for a bunk bed that I cannot wait to introduce to our son (read: any tips on how to help toddlers sleep in a big kid bed would be greatly appreciated). I’m slightly nervous about the whole “big kid bed” thing but we’ll see how it goes.
I’ve been shopping for rungs, pillows, sheets, and other decor items that I would like to put in the new nursery. Because we aren’t finding out the gender of our baby (we had so much fun when we didn’t find out when I was pregnant with our son), I’m completely focused on designing another gender neutral baby nursery.
Since our home decor is primarily black, white, and tan with pops of green (thanks to the succulents on tabletops), I’m going to stick with that color scheme in the baby’s room. I figure you can’t get much more gender neutral than using neutral colors, right?
